Won’t it be too expensive for most adult learners to go back to school?

Adult Promise is working to make getting a degree or credential more affordable for all through programs like scholarships specifically geared for adult learners, employer incentives, grants and tax breaks. Our statewide strategies address not only “hard costs” like tuition, but also “soft costs” like books, supplies and transportation. We also hope to support debt forgiveness programs.

But funding is only half the battle. If adults don’t take advantage of available financial support, our goals won’t be met.  So we’re also working on a campaign to make adults more aware of and better able to access the financial resources available to them.
